24/7 Emergency Available
Orthopedic surgery is essentially bone and joint surgery. Dr. Beebe has had advanced training in this area and is an especially skilled orthopedic surgeon. Galena Square Veterinary Clinic is one of the few veterinary hospitals in and around Jo Davies county that can perform orthopedic surgery. The most common reasons your pet may require orthopedic surgery are trauma (such as being hit by a car) or a torn cruciate ligament (a ligament that helps stabilize the knee).
Occasionally a pet may require even more specialized tools and extensive experience than our excellent surgeons can provide. On these occasions Galena Square Veterinary Clinic works with several specially trained and certified veterinary surgeons who will come directly to Galena Square Veterinary Clinic so your pet can stay near you and home.
Anesthesia Safety and Surgical Monitoring
Anesthetic procedures (surgical and dental) are performed with your pet's safety in mind. Although no surgical procedure is considered risk free, we maintain rigorous standards of safety. A staff member is dedicated to monitoring your pet throughout their entire procedure and recovery time and our doctors use only the safest drug protocols and inhalant (gas) anesthetic tailored to your pet's specific condition and needs.
Our veterinarians took the veterinary medical oath upon becoming doctors and part of that oath is to aid in the "relief of animal suffering". We take that oath very seriously and the doctors and staff of Galena Square Veterinary Clinic recognize that alleviating pain is paramount to the care and comfort of your pet. Every surgical patient has pain medications administered before, during, and after surgery. Our team believes that if we would like pain medication for our own surgery, so would our pets. If you have questions about how we can improve the comfort of your pet please talk to one of our team members.
